CARMEL GARDNER - DIRECTOR
Carmel has over 20 years’ experience in the field of People Development and Leadership. Through her work in Relationship Intelligence, Carmel has clients across the Private, Public, Not-for-Profit and Charity sectors.
Carmel has facilitated learning interventions at leading organisations across the UK including Barclays Bank, The Body Shop, The Prince’s Trust, Amazon, The Royal Household, EE, Ealing, Brent & Greenwich Borough Councils, Tower Hamlets PCT, VW Audi Group, GSK, MSD Animal Health, British Gas, American Airlines and BT among many others.
BACKGROUND
Having studied German and Business Studies at Warwick University, Carmel completed an Apprenticeship in Viniculture and Viticulture in Trier in Germany. On returning to the UK, Carmel embarked on a career in Learning and Development with The Industrial Society and subsequently worked in a number of industries including Leisure and Tourism, where she gained the IPD Post Graduate Diploma in Training and Development. She also worked in the Food Industry and Telecoms.
In 1994 Carmel set up her own training company, CGTC Ltd, working with a team of trainers both in the UK and abroad delivering training and development across a broad industry spectrum and specialising in Pan-European projects. The company has continued to grow and underwent a rebrand in 2016 to become Coastal Group (SW) LLP.
Carmel also speaks fluent German and has designed and delivered training and coaching programmes in Germany.
Carmel lives with her husband and daughter in the South West, in her spare time she sings songs of the sea with Lyme Bay Moonrakers and plays the harp.
